Description:
A 1920s French 'Richard' cameo glass small lamp base, baluster form, the swollen ovoid body with raised floral designs in deep purple red on a yellow ground with vertical red striped inclusions, the signature in cameo, the base with cutaway for the cord, original gilt fitting to the top to receive the shade, shade absent. Height of glass only 13 cm. Note: Richard was the mark used on acid-etched cameo glass made by the Austrian company Loetz after 1918.
