A Qing Dynasty Canton enamel double Shou and Buddhist Symbols decorated wash bowl the broad rim decorated with eight enamelled Buddhist auspicious symbols divided by scrolling foliate and floral motifs with gilt details, the curved interior walls similarly enamel painted with four larger stylised foliate motifs enclosing four gilded double shou or double happiness symbols, the well with a pair of phoenix birds in a landscape of rocks, trees, flowers with gilded details, and clouds, all on a mid-blue ground, the bowl probably given as a wedding present from a mother to her daughter, 19th century.
