A Kutani Two Piece Censer the pierced squat circular upper body decorated with three panels, including female figures in an indoor scene, two of flowers and butterflies, fruits and birds on a white ground with reserves of gilded foliate and cloud patterns on a red ground, surmounted by a Buddha figure holding a lotus leaf and bloom. The base with moulded dragons and clouds, gilded foliate pattens on a red ground and raised on three legs. Three character marks. Note; loss to lotus bloom. Height 29 cm
