A greenstone adze of mottled mid to dark green stone, with silver splotches on back surface and brown cloud effect on front, both surfaces convex, the adze untanged; there is a cutting edge and a bevel at both ends, some loss to poll, the cutting edged with some nicks. Provenance; through family descent, Christchurch area. Length 9 cm. Width 3.6 cm. Height 1.7 cm.
