A Maori 18th/19th century bronze fish hook The recurved or 'rotating' one piece made of a copper alloy, probably a bronze ship's nail, the point with 2 external barbs and one internal, the snood with European twine attached. Purchased from a Christchurch antique shop in the 1950s. Length 7.5 cm. Width 6 cm.
