A Maori Dark Grey Stone Adze all surfaces showing bruising, butt differentiation, poll rounded. Front and back slightly concave, adze asymmetrical in cross-section, short bevel, the cutting edge straight and quite sharp. Collected from the South Taranaki area. Length 17.5 cm. Depth 6 cm. Height 3.8 cm.
