A Maori black stone small adze which has been ground and polished, slight reduction at the shoulder of the butt, the poll is quadrangular in cross-section, straight edge, distinguished bevel, cutting edge straight, front surface convex. Collected from the south Taranaki area. Length 7.5 cm. Depth 2.7 cm. Height 2.3 cm.
