William John Turner Clarke Rivalled Sir Sidney Kidman for his vigorous acquisition of prime farming land. he died in 1874 leaving an estate of 2.5 million pounds. he spent some time in Tasmania and bequeathed his second son 'Quorn Hall' in Tasmania.
