A large signed antique ivory okimono of a woodsman, Meiji period, later 19th century, depicting the finely carved and decorated figure of a woodsman with an expressive face, wearing a well engraved tunic, trousers and rope sandals, and carrying a bundle of sticks in woven wrap; engraved with lotus leaves and a flower underside with a red inked signature.
