A Maori Portrait on Velvet, Ena in 'Meditation', signed J Kelly Ena, a Hokianga woman who was a first cousin to Harata, widow of a prominent Ngatiwhatua chief of Orakei. Ena spent most of her life at Orakei and later at the Maori Hostel in Parnell until her death, approx.1928. circa late 1960s/early 1970s. Frame Height 51.5 cm. Width 46.4 cm.
