A Colonial silver testimonial centerpiece, attributed to William Kerr, circa 1889 formed as an emu egg supported on two slender entwined fern trees, on a naturalistic rockwork modelled base with applied ferns, bird, kangaroo and mining rig, supported on four scroll work feet, inscribed to the cartouche 'Ald. C. A. Ring - Mayor - 1888-1889' and to the second cartouche 'Silverton N.S.W' 680 gms, 47.5 cm high, 15.5 cm wide, 15.5 cm deep
