A large early Victorian sterling silver salver, 1840 Sheffield, with maker's marks for Henry Wilkinson, of generous proportions, cast with a richly scrolled foliate border and four scrolled feet, centred with a finely chased contemporary coat of arms bearing the Latin motto 'Spes Mea in Futuro Est', My Hope for the future, within foliate arabesques.
