A pair of signed Satsuma butterfly and floral vases Meiji period, circa 1900, unidentified maker, the slender baluster vases richly embellished with alternating ribs of thousand butterflies and chrysanthemum patterns in iron red, aqua, mauve and gold, some flowers with enamel highlights in low relief, between narrow patterned borders to the short waisted neck and base; with a bordered gold mark on a red tablet underside.
