Exceptional Cizhou black glazed Sgraffito vase possibly Northern song Dynasty, 11th/12th century, pear form body rising to a sharply rolled everted rim, the lower section encircled with two bands of freely carved floral devices above a splayed foot revealing white biscuit, the glaze sheer black and matte texture, luting join visible at the neck.
