An important and impressive Royal Doulton stoneware large vase by Mark V. Marshall, baluster form, the shoulder and neck sculpted and applied with a three dimensional dragon and its young in buff and brown salt glaze on a dark glazed ground with white scrolling highlights, the main body of rich dark blue/ green glaze, impressed mark and 'Art Union of London' and impressed '7998', c.1905.
