Australian Rules Football Carte-de-visite of a player in standing pose with oval ball resting on a pedestal. Horizontal hooped guernsey and socks, plain knee-length trousers and cap. Taken at the Studio of Timothy Noble, 135 Bourke Street East, Melbourne. Noble operated from this premises from 1874 to 1878. A rare early portrait of an unidentified Australian Rules Footballer.
