A Chinese carved wooden figure of Guanyin, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Seated in the 'Dhyanasana' position, her delicate hands in 'Vitarka mudra', with flowing robes, high foliate diadem, floral necklet and bracelets, some traces of gilt and pigment, 83 cm high. Provenance: Purchased in Hong Kong in 2006; Ex private collection, Hong Kong, prior to 2006.
