Irish Trinity College silver Language Award medals one inscribed 'The Provost and Senior Fellows of (Trinity College). Dub to James. G. Rynd Dec 1834. G.brown' to one side and 'For his proficiency in the French language' to the other side. Dublin, c1834, maker George brown the other inscribed 'The Provost and Senior Fellows of Trin. Coll. Dub to James. G. Rynd Dec 1835' to one side and 'For his proficiency in the Italian language' to the other side. Bother with hinged bails, set in a silk lined box with gilt inscription 'Master James Alexander. P.K. To J.G. Rynd. Feb. 14th. 1850'. Dublin, 1834, maker Henry Flavelle condition of medals good, age related staining. Condition of box poor, losses to the leather, has become unhinged. Length of medals 7 cm weight 116g
