A fine George III mahogany secretaire bookcase, circa 1775, with overhanging step moulded cornice above astragal glazed door enclosing two adjustable shelves, the lower part with fall front secretaire enclosing twelve drawers and six pigeon holes with flame mahogany veneer and satin wood stringing, the base with four graduated cock beaded drawers with brass handles on bracket feet, in original condition with original brasses, 107 cm width x 61 cm depth x 218 cm high.Provenance: Purchased from Lita Kaye of Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England in 1976.
