A French Louis XV style inlaid rosewood Bonheur de jour, 19th century, with a pierced brass gallery above two glazed doors with gilt bronze trims, a serpentine shaped fall front below opening to a fitted compartment with small drawers, a writing plane and retractable well, with a shaped apron and raised on slender cabriole legs, decorated throughout with floral and ribbon fruitwood inlay and stringing upon bookend veneer panels, with gilt bronze mounts and sabots.
