A George III sterling silver campaign spirit kettle and burner. 1784 London, with maker's marks for probably John Scofield, the oval tapering kettle of plain form having a low removable lid with a timber finial, a simple shaped strap handle and long spout, bearing a contemporary family crest, initials, and a swan armorial; the shaped four legged burner with curved pad feet conforming; burner hallmarked twice, crisp marks to kettle and lid; funnel unmarked.
