Meiji period, circa 1910, with maker's mark of Yabu Meizan, the cup and saucer decorated in Yabu Meizan's renowned autumn maple leaf pattern, with trailing foliage in reds, light green and gold upon a cream crackle ground; a relief gold mark on a gold tablet underside.
