A fine French bronze and marble Louis Philipple figural clock. Mid 19th century, with maker's mark for Raingo Freres, Paris, the clock depicting the naturalistic figure of a Renaissance gentleman with a telescope leaning on a plinth supported on a black marble body with an enamel dial with Roman numerals set within a decorative gilt bezel, a fleur-de-lys border to an extended base with canted corners and scrolled gilt feet.
