Fredrick Dawson (Working Circa 1894-1919), The Hollliswood, watercolour, signed 'Dawson' and dated 1900 lower right, 58 x 87 cm, Note: Bark Holliswood, Long Overdue, Arrives In Port Badly Damaged Ship Drops Anchor at San Pedro Captain Tells Thrilling Story of Four Months' Journey With her masts splintered, her rigging carried away and her sails blown to shreds, the American bark Holliswood crept slowly into port at San Pedro yesterday morning and dropped anchor just off the end of the government breakwater. The vessel was almost a derelict, having: suffered continually from the elements since her departure from Newcastle, Australia, February 22.
