Victoria Art Pottery red glazed vase with a woven cane and floral motif, stamped on the base 'Vap/Wf'. William Ferry (1861-1934) and his brother Graham (1847-1924) both studied under Dr Christopher Dresser in 1879. Graham moved to Australia in 1881 and opened the Brunswick Terracotta Works in 1886. William left England for Australia in 1896 after an extensive period at Burmantoff's Pottery
