Meissen 19th century 'Europa & the Bull' figure group Europa being captivated by Zeus in the form of a beautiful white bull, applied with flowers, a finely woven basket, patterned robes, dreamy facial features & individually painted hairs. The base is completely encircled by gilded scallop decoration, suggestive of the sea in the ancient myth. Some losses. Height 21.5 cm
