A pair of Kakiemon porcelain plates, Showa period, mid 1970s, the pair of shallow bowls, decorated in enamels in the kakiemon palette of blue, emerald green, iron red and buff, one with birds in an asymmetric floral and rocky setting, the other with a bird in a flowering prunus branch within a floral border; blue underglaze signature underside of Kakiemon XIV, in original timber boxes with associated notes.
