A Chinese black lacquer trunk, of rectangular form, the hinged lid painted in gilt and colours with a dragon amongst clouds flanked by panels of flowering tendrils, the sides all painted with similar fiery dragons amongst clouds. Engraved brass bindings decorate the corners and edges, the front with a large clasp lock, the sides with brass bale handles. 107 cm x 52 cm x 52 cm
