A very unusual hardwood low table, 18th and 20th century, the top with a pierced apron inset in the centre with four early Qing Dynasty blue and white tiles surrounded by a border of Delft tiles standing on a four bamboo-form legs with an elaborate cross-stretcher support across the base Table 53.5 cm high Table top 100 x 86.5 cm. Blue and white tiles 23 x 22 cm each. Provenance: The Phipps family, USA, wealthy American industrialists known for their philanthropy, dynastic wealth, and involvement in training of race horses, most notably Secretariat.
