A retro suite of sapphire and yellow sapphire jewellery, circa 1940, French, each earclip designed as a flowerhead, the square and circular-shaped blue sapphire centres to the oval and cushion-shaped yellow sapphire petals, together with a clip brooch, designed as a sapphire and yellow sapphire flowerhead issuing gold wirework foliate detail, maker's mark Sas, indistinct, yellows sapphires approximately 35.00 carats total, blue sapphires approximately 8.60 carats total, mounted in 18 carat yellow gold, French assay marks, earring width 2.2 cm, brooch length 4.1 cm . Accompanied by a report from the Gem Studies Laboratory (Gsl), Australia, stating that the tested yellow sapphire weighing 2.40 carats is natural, of Ceylon (Sri Lankan origin), with no evidence of heat treatment.
