A good French late 19th century black marble mantel clock, of unusual tall form with domed top, blackened and gilded spelter mythical beast mask and captured ring handles to the sides, gilt brass framing to the glazed dial and main body showing the pendulum, Roman numerals to the white enamel chapter ring, Brocot style escapement, mercury compensated pendulum, the movement with hour and half hour bell striking, c.1880. 26 cm x 15.5 cm x 41.5 cm, with key.
