A blue and white 'chicken head' ewer Ming dynasty, 16th century the globular body surmounted by a short waisted neck and flared mouth, set on one side with a spout shaped as a chicken head opposite the handle modelled in the form of a chicken tail, the sides painted with floral sprays and ruyi -head border 10.5 cm diameter.
