A boxed, gilt silver six piece sewing kit in an engraved, ornate style with natural and a few (likely replacement) round cabochon cut turquoise. Most likely, late 18th century, of Northern European or Russian origin. This lot comes with fragments of a note found in the box, which approximately says: 'Queen Anne's Needle --- This Needlecase Which Belonged to Queen Ann --------- Daughter, Maud --- Who Was a Child --- It to Me.
