An exceptional Japanese Shinoyaki 'Cherry bud' pot, October 1982, by master Japanese potter Kishimoto Kennin (b.1934), the large pot, properly described as Beni Sheni Ohtsubo (pink shino big vase) utilising indigenous mogusado clay, and a shinoyu glaze enamel resulting in a rich pitted white finish over a pink orange ground, the piece depicting a cherry bud about to open; in original box with associated documents.
