Taroemon Nakazato (1885-1985), Karatsu style stoneware vase, with Jun glaze poured over tenmoku, signed wood box. Height 21.5 cm. Provenance: collection of John & Marguerite Scott; by repute, presented by the potter to John and Marguerite Scott during their visit to the Karatsu kiln on 15th October 1967. Taroemon Nakazato was designated a Living National treasure in 1976.
