An antique Straits Chinese silver casket, 19th century, in the Malay manner, the oval cushion shaped casket with a swing handle with repousse floral and foliate work throughout with a patterned lower section, a hook clasp to a heart shaped lock and raised on small bun feet, with a quilted lining; marked underside with Chinese characters to a double cartouche.
