An excellent copy. Fields 331, a perfect little Art Nouveau book. the typography is in Auriol's distinctive 'Brushstroke' type, the monograms largely developed from Japanese crests. Each is designed for a named person, and it seems just about everyone prominent in the arts or literature commissioned one from Auriol; Graffe, W.G., Poster Design, London, Chapman and Hall, 1932. second edition, 70 colour plates, 100 half-tone plates (neither included in pagination), 204 illustrations in text, xvi,224pp., 4to. 26 x 20 cm, publisher's orange cloth boards, rebacked in black morocco gilt titled. 2 cm. oval library stamp on lower margin of most plates otherwise clean and fresh internally.
