An impressive early George III silver lidded tankard/jug, of plain baluster form with a fine reeded band to the body, spreading circular foot, the domed hinged cover with scrolling thumb piece, the double scroll handle with ivory heat rings and matching detail, top and base, the lid and base with matched hallmarks for London 1760, by William Grundy, a noted tankard maker.
