A quality 20th century Chinese porcelain vase, of baluster shape with two blue glazed animal mask handles issuing from the neck; the body painted with twining sprigs, flowers and fruiting fungai in fencai (pastel colours) on a famille verte ground, a pattern of stiff leaves decorates the shoulder and the foot ring. A square white notch in the centre of the turquoise glaze on the base displays the four character mark: Tang Ying jing zhi (Respectfully made by Tang Ying). In the 18th century Tang Ying was assigned as Superintendent of the Imperial porcelain works in Jingdezhen in which position he remained for over two decades. Height 33 cm
