A carved ivory wrist rest, Qing dynasty, 19th century, the convex underside carved in deep relief with lotus flowers and leaves growing from a tubor, the sinuous stems rising among other water plants and frogs, crabs, snails, clams and crayfish, the concave top carved in low relief with boys beside a gnarled pine tree and rocky cliffs flying a butterfly kite, 28.5 cm long
