A Satsuma sake pot and cover, Meiji period, of compressed circular form supported on short tripod feet, the widely splayed sides decorated in colours and gilding with floral motifs and diaper patterns and set with a small upright spout and terminals for the cane-work handle, the base inscribed in gilding 'Satsuma yaki', (2), 16.5 cm diameter .
