A stunning Anton Seuffert jewellery box, inlaid with various New Zealand timbers, this early example is decorated with a unique Prussian influence to the top with various exotic birds and dragons, the central panel decorated with New Zealand ferns. All sides are decorated with various New Zealand timber specimens framed in geometric border. Note: The normal gothic arches are absent with this box. The felt lined underside bears the shadow of an Anton Seuffert label. The interior has been filled with compartments at a later date. Height 8 cm. Width 30.5 cm. Depth 24 cm
