A fine Nepalese standing gilt-bronze figure of Padmapani, 15th/16th century, flanked on both sides by a huge flowering lotus branch, one stem in his left hand and adorned with long jewelled necklaces, the eyes painted, Amitabha seated in the chignon, supported on a double lotus throne, 18.5 cm high. Provenance: A private Melbourne collection, purchased in Nepal in 1969
