The group is comprised of a United Kingdom Airforce cross (engraved 1940 verso), 1939-1945 Star, the Pacific Star 1939-1945, war medal 1939-1945, New Zealand Service Medal, plus a miniature medal group. Ii) A Walker & Hall Sheffield, silver plated presentation tray with inscription: '502 (Ulster)(Bomber) Squadron Presented to flying officer Tancred by the Commanding officer and officers 502 (Ulster)(Bomber) Squadron on the occasion of his marriage February 1935', with engraved signatures. Iii) two sterling silver cigarette cases one case enamel with 'RAF' insignia and engraved inner 'To Louise from tank 25-12-34'. Iv) A silver Gelatin print of Harry Lumsden Tancred with inscription: 'Here's looking at you love from tank 10-11-40'. V) various Ephemera, Documents, badges, pins pertaining to Harry Lumsden Tankred: New Zealand military discharge papers: Samoa military Police 1930, Airforce cross papers, various Pilot and drivers Licences, newspaper cuttings, sweetheart pins, cloth badges and silver gelatine print of New Zealand military parade. Note: Harry Lumsden Tancred (tank) was born in Nanango QLD, December 1908. He lived on his father's cattle station until he was six years old, until the family moved to New Zealand in 1928. Tank joined the army and was sent to Samoa, serving in the Samoa military Police. He then went to England and learned to fly with the Royal Air Force, after he got his wings, he was posted to Egypt and also served in Iraq. Tank returned to England and was transferred to the 502 Ulster Bomber Squadron in Aldergrove. There he met Anna Louis Thompson, later marrying her in 1935. He sailed to New Zealand 1935 and worked there as a flying instructor and also flew passenger planes for Union Airlines. During the Second World War he joined the Royal New Zealand Air Force rising in the ranks to wing Commander and received the Air Force cross. During the war he was in command of the N.Z. Air force base in Guadalcanal and later Bougainville. On his return to N.Z. He was officer in charge of Woodburn Air Force base, Blenheim until he was discharged
