A Chinese rosewood four panel room screen, with 12 porcelain plaques Republican period 1912 - 1949. The screen is made up of four intricately carved rosewood frames with detailed fretwork designs, depicting Chinese mythical dragons and oriental motifs. The upper and lower porcelain plaques are painted with Chinese figurative narrative scenes, with seal marks and calligraphy writing to lower plaques. The four central fan plaques tell a story pertaining to the four seasons, summer, winter, autumn and spring. Screen height 184 cm. Width 176 cm.
