A Louis XV style tulipwood and bronze ormolu desk. Late 19th century. The desk has a tooled leather writing top with surrounding bronze edge and rococo style corners, with two half-size drawers on one side. The front, back and sides panels are decorated with bronze mounted Sevres style porcelain plaques. The legs are a slender cabriole style and decorated with bronze mounts, with depictions of neoclassical style busts of young maidens. Note: oak frame carcass. Height 80 cm. Width 120 cm. Depth 67 cm
