A Paul Mccartney autograph, 1965 signed and inscribed in blue ink on a piece of paper 'To Marie Best & Pat Best Wishes From Paul Mccartney', top right corner detached; and a letter from the vendor concerning the provenance. Notes: the vendor acquired this autograph in Portugal in 1965. at the time she was working for a car rental company in Lisbon. Paul McCartney was holidaying in the Algarve with his then girlfriend Jane Asher and had rented a car. the rental company were alerted to locate McCartney immediately and quietly get him on an airplane back to London asap. the vendor was sent to meet the couple and keep them away from the media until their flight departed much later that day. She asked McCartney for an autograph dedicated to her sisters, though he misheard and only signed for Marie
