A fascinating glimpse into the the Melbourne riots that followed as a result of a Victorian police strike. The riots that ensued left 3 dead with a large portion of the city centre smashed & looted & trams overturned. 500 mainly ex-servicemen where sworn in under the direction of Sir John Monash & issued batons to break up the rioting which went for 2 nights.
