An antique gold, citrine and seed pearl brooch, mid 19th century, the oval-shaped citrine collet, measuring approximately 21.1 x 29.0 mm, mounted within a ropetwist and seed pearl stepped surround, to the cuir roule scroll border, with fleur-de-lys, bead and engraved floral decoration, the closed-back reverse with glazed compartment, inscribed 'Susan Hayward died Feb 10th 1857 Aged 59', mounted in gold, pearls untested for natural origin, width 6.5 cm
