Cigarette and trade card album, seven pages of 'Musical Instruments of the World', W. Duke Sons & Co. Tobacco. Souvenir loose-leaf albums of this type were probably intended to replace the individual tobacco cards if the collector desired. They were purchased with 75 to 100 coupons packed with cigarettes. This loose-leaf album was issued circa 1899 with the images of the card series Musical Instruments of the World (Burdick 82). Gorgeous illustrated pages show the card faces. Great chromolithography by Schumacher & Ettinger NY, crease at left near binding
